Introducing LBW Loves… Peter Smart Photography…

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Peter a few times recently and each time we’ve been amazed at the level of detail Peter manages to capture in his photography.

Peters signature style is unique and natural wedding photography

During a recent photo shoot for a beautiful large rustic Italian wedding, Peter floated amongst guests seamlessly. Blink an eye and you wouldn’t have know he was there! and yet the end results were stunning. Peter had managed to capture the day perfectly, from stolen private moments with the wedding couple, to larger scale family and friends gathering to share stories or catch up with loved ones.

Peter’s fun and charismatic manner along with his fabulous romanic twist photography earns him a place on our LBW Loves… wall this month.

 

 

Meet Peter…

 

I’m a full-time professional wedding photographer with 10 years of experience. I have won awards for my work and have featured in regional and national magazines such as Bride, West Weddings, Guides For Brides and wedding venue websites and Brochures.

 

1. Tell us about Peter Smart Photography

 

I’m a Wiltshire wedding photographer who photographs weddings all over the South West and UK. My style is best described as natural as I love the documentary and unobtrusive approach, and the ‘look’ of my photography is both vintage and timeless.

Before I was a full-time photographer I was a graphic artist and illustrator and was trained by professional artists to degree level. My early work as an illustrator later helped me to forge a style of photography of my own especially when shooting and editing photos of the bride and groom, as like a painting, I like to take the viewer out of the real world and into something timeless.

 

2. Tell us something that not many people know about Peter Smart Photography

 

My Grandfather was a keen amateur photographer who documented is service during the second world war in photographs.  These captured moments in his old albums sparked a fascination with photography in me and from an early age with a Box Brownie camera, I started taking pictures.

 

3. What advice would you give to couples who are looking for their wedding photographer?

 

There are a lot of wedding photographers out there and so take enough time to find the photographer for you. They will be spending the whole day with you on one of the most important days in your life so it is important that you ‘click’ with them. Look closely at their portfolio and if the images resonate with you, then ask to meet with them.
